Love this spot on a regular night, but want to call out that on cinco de mayo they went above and beyond for our huge group. Even tho getting a table took a bit due to it being packed with folks fiending for fajitas on the holiday, they made our wait comfortable and once we were seated the service was fast and fantastic (as it always is!). Generous and delicious Mexican/texmex/calimex dishes and tacos. And the margs always hit, so fresh. Get the esquites!!

My girlfriend and I had dinner here earlier this evening as we were looking for a place within walking distance of our Airbnb. We had a great time. We ordered 2 rounds of margaritas (4 during happy hour) , guacamole, queso fundido w chorizo, 6 tacos, and the tres leches. As you can tell, we sampled a strong portion of the menu, and it was very amicably priced. The guacamole was fresh and delicious. The queso fundido was great and a good portion. The tacos were the best I’ve ever had, and I feel we have pretty good tacos coming from South Florida. My favorite was between the chorizo and the shrimp taco. The tres leches was a great treat to end the meal. As for the staff, they were fantastic. Super attentive and kind. I also want to highlight the manager Marvin who wears a big welcoming smile. I’ll have to visit again next time I’m in DC.

El Camino is a fantastic neighborhood gem, boasting some of the finest steak tacos I've ever tasted in the District. But it's not just the tacos that shine here; their chicken mole is a standout, offering a generous portion bursting with the rich, complex flavors of mole sauce. The inviting "L" shaped bar is always bustling with a few locals, giving it a friendly and approachable vibe. The bartenders are attentive and skilled, ensuring that patrons are well taken care of, and the drinks are not only delicious but also reasonably priced. Additionally, I couldn't help but notice their camino steak dish, which had my mouth watering just looking at it. I can't wait to try it on my next visit! I highly recommend this establishment and look forward to making it a regular hangout.
